Which Cities Pay the Highest Salaries? Here’s Where Employees Earn the Most in 2026

A new Deutsche Bank report has revealed the cities where employees take home the highest and lowest monthly salaries after taxes. Zurich, Switzerland, tops the list with an average monthly salary of around ₹8.05 lakh, followed by San Francisco and Geneva. On the other end, Cairo, Jakarta, and Manila rank among the cities with the lowest average earnings. Among Indian cities, Delhi recorded an average monthly salary of about ₹51,800, while Mumbai and Bengaluru performed better with average salaries of around ₹74,800 and ₹77,400, respectively. The report highlights how salaries differ across global cities due to factors such as local economies, taxes, living costs, and demand for skilled workers.
