Aamir Khan has dismissed the long-standing belief that 3 Idiots was inspired by education reformer Sonam Wangchuk. Speaking about the film, Aamir said neither he, director Rajkumar Hirani, nor writer Abhijat Joshi knew Wangchuk while making the movie. He also rejected actor Omi Vaidya’s recent claim linking the film to Wangchuk, calling it incorrect. Despite the clarification, Aamir expressed concern for Wangchuk’s well-being, saying everyone is hoping he ends his ongoing fast safely.
